Comments: 8 veterans made our annual trip to the RRE Monmouthshire (Militia) museum and Monmouth town itself. The Militia is the only Corps within the British Army to hold a double 'Royal' in its title. All had a good feed and an excellent tour of the museum. Next get together is Whitehall in November. This year all security passes have been issued within time not late like last year. Veterans from MVSS will cover RMP, QA's, RAMC and RE. The cut off date for the passes has now past and we are unable to apply for more at this time. We have to have the application forms around July/August 2018 if you wish to go. Please make sure your company officer knows that you wish to attend.

Comments: Re the last entry. People have asked why I insist on placing emails in the guestbook which really should be kept on our private system. If I do that you would not see the admin problems that Jim and myself have to deal with. And for further information the last email was returned as 'not found'. Perhaps now you can see why we make these emails public.

Comments: Just a quick note to let you know that finally I have managed to get an email to Miriam Delgado who sent us an SOS email back in December 2014. Every contact made by email was returned quicker than it was sent! The original email can still be seen in the guestbook. Now either this was a spoof back in 2014 and today they have left their guard down or there is a Veteran out there, God knows where, who needs help urgently. This is the problem when we get false/misleading information. Time will tell.

Comments: After a two month stay at UHW Cardiff including a major operation I'm now back at home recovering. Many thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes and get well cards. My thanks to Alan and Jim as well for filling in and keeping the groups admin up to date! There are however ex members of the Ferndale HQ Coy still trying their very best to break the group apart. As we've told you before, you have been weighed, you have been found wanting and until you come to us face to face you will never win. End of sermon. For all other veterans who just read our site I send you my thanks in your interest.

Comments: Well done boys and girls! What a rilliant night at the Mess Dinner! It was possibly one of the best! For those and there were not many (two actually) you can read about 1 - Jims 'white flag over Stanley' over his Xmas quiz. 2 - Alans futile attempt to shut the Benny Hill santa from running about playing Benny Hills theme music and 3 - My surrender in trying to work out the tip for the staff having the above pair setting the said Benny Hill santa on the back of my chair and getting worked up when passing guests just pointed at the back of the chair and laughed! (All done in the best possible taste mind you)! Back to the start of this tale, you can read all in the new MVSS newsletter in Jan 2017. The New Year message from all Officers will be posted here on the 30th. Take care.

Comments: From the admin team and all Company (Group) Officers around South Wales can we remind you that the MVSS Christmas Mess Dinner will be held tonight at the usual place. Please be there for 1900 ready to sit at 1930. I'm instructed to remind you NOT to forget your secret santa presents! The MVSS newsletter will still be sent out in paper form but now we have sorted out the problems with the passwords for our site things will change. The news letter will appear in pdf form to be read on the new site. As you all know you voted at our AGM to be released from our obligations as a Limited Company by Guarantee at Companies House as this was costing a lot of time and expense to complete. In a meeting with CH Cardiff they to accepted the minutes of the AGM/Veterans wishes. So we were released with no debt or penalty. The site became corrupted by a disgruntled veteran who thought it would be great fun to change passwords every 3 weeks! That is an extract from the CH Team along with the Police whom we hold a great debt of thanks! So all this will change and the site will close down for 24 hours and a new one will appear using the same address. Many to thanks to you all for the support over 2016. Happy Christmas to those who won't be with us tonight and see you all in 2017!

Comments: I'd like to thank one and all for the good wishes sent after My wife, Phyl, who sustained a nasty fit last week. Thankfully she is now home from hospital and finding her feet again! Now after 37 years in the colours (RAMC) she has put her papers in. Technically she will be medically discharged and so Phyl looks forward to life on civvy street. He dining out is being arranged and she then becomes a veteran! Trying to get her to take it easy will be a harder task than the D-Day landings but I'm sure with time she will start slowing down (who am I kidding)?! Once again you have ever my thanks.

Comments: As the Met Police are running security passes for the National Service at Whitehall, London this year our annual trip and parade will be not going ahead. This is not because ANYONE has failed the screening it comes down to the group having several different Corps/Regiments/Squadrons and Ships members it all got lost and delayed, (at this point I will hold my own council as if I say more then I hold myself in contempt)! However there is still a London trip still being planned for Sunday and more details will be sorted and given out next Thursday at our small Service at Ferndale HQ.

Comments: The Christmas dinner has now been booked. It's for the Thursday the 15th December at the usual place on the usual time! If you have not booked yet but want to come please ring me on the usual number (lots of usual's guys)! If you book you have to pay a small deposit as after the last years fiasco where almost 18 people booked and only 7 turned up ALL COMPANIES decided that a deposit be paid. This is £5 now and £3 at the dinner. The mess committee has given us a large discount this year hence the cheap cost of the meal. Your deposit/booking has to be made before the 11th of November.

Comments: Yesterday we finally said good bye to Dennis Issac. Even though Den passed away on the 5th of August 2016 he laid at his home until the 16th of August before an alarmed was raised. It took a while to locate his family, in fact when he returned to Pontygwaith from Perrenporth we searched there with no luck and after a long drawn out search alongside side the Coroner's Officer of two Police Forces MVSS found a daughter in Watford! The paperwork completed Dennis took his final journey to the parade ground in the sky at 1500hrs 14/10/2016. The family had request no military intervention but allowed Den to have the Last Post and Reveille played live by the Crematorium organist, Den would have seen the ironic side to that as we did! However the group has now lost another Veteran and our thoughts go with Dens family who travel home today and as ever the group will continue to support them as best we can. RIP Cpl of Horse Dennis Issac return to the 'Fallen' and will one day meet with you again. All Companies and Veterans of MVSS.

Thie family has instructed us that there is to be no military input whatsoever but if veterans want to attend they will be welcome. Refreshments will follow and all mare invited for that. Venue to be arranged. This is a difficult time for the family as they have to travel from Watford. The family will attend HQ group on Thursday where the details and explanation will be told. RIP Dennis.

Comments: The Officers and members of MVSS are sad to pass on the news that Cpl of Horse David Issac of our Ferndale Branch has be found deceased at his home at the age of 89. Dennis was diagnosed only 2 months ago with a blood disorder and finally lost his battle over the weekend. His remains will be transported back to his home in Cornwall as soon as his body is released. Even though we only knew Dennis a short time he enjoyed his Thursday night at the Biz in Ferndale. Dennis was a member of 7RHA and attached to the Household cavalry unit. His Association will arrange his final parade and a group of MVSS veterans will be travelling to Looe for the ceremony. Go with God Dennis.

Comments: As you can see once again we have interest in the status of MVSS. As the Directors have pointed out several times we are being questioned as to our viability. As we have nothing to hide I urge all members if asked about the group(s) to inform the person who asks the work we are doing through out the areas and hide nothing. It will be up to our Banking team as to what they can and cannot divulge. On a much happier note Richie's sister-in-law Sue from Brisbane has spent the weekend with Phyllis and myself. She would like to thank all members and Welsh Guards Re-United and the Welsh Guards Association for the moving and dedicated attendance at his 'last parade'. There are private letters heading towards all associations that attended. In all she was so pleased to the dvd that was compiled. the dvd has been shown now to most of the places Richie had served. On a personal level I too would like to thank all that attended that day. It's suprising to see its almost a year since his passing. Many thanks people and if you could remember Richie once in a while....... and of course all those veterans who are suffering in the same way as our Richie. God bless.

Comments: Dear Mr Griffiths. Firstly thank you for your comments on our guestbook and your interest in MVSS. Yes you are quite correct in your comment. MVSS is no longer a Limited Company by Guarantee as listed at Companies House in Cardiff. However you are completely wrong in your assumption that the group is still operating as a Limited Company and was not struck off as you implied but desolved by the group at AGM as the fee's and time for filling in returns as required by Companies House was untenable. So under the rules laid down by the powers to be the directors under the power of the veterans within our group we were instructed to desolve the Company. This was done and the Limited Company was removed from the Register at Companies House without debt or fines for late returns. Now the reason why Limited remains after our name. A disgruntled ex member of one of our groups changed passwords for our private side of the website and we are awaiting our web storage company to reset all passwords appertaining to this site and will soon be removed and corrected. However if you have any proof whatsoever that any of our groups around South Wales are trading using the Limited registeration you have a duty of law to point this out firstly to us then onto the powers to be. If however this cannot be proved we will take action to rectify this problem. Once again many thanks for your interest in our group(s) and if you would like to attend one of them close to your area you would be welcome, that invitation would stand if you were a military veteran with proof of service. You have our thanks.

It was a fine Battalion and I was sad that it would be the end of my service through medical problems. It was found that I had the start of what we know as MS. Happy birthday The Royal Green Jackets.

However our kid got it wrong (again) and boy do I mean wrong! The approx figure was around 268 family, MVSS,Ex-Welsh Guards, serving Welsh Guards and RMP,RAMC,MOD,ACC,LONDON Garrison Officers,SAAFA,Combat Stress and RBL personnel/veterans. There are so many to thank so I will be doing that over the weekend. Many thanks to Welsh Guards Association and The Welsh Guards Reunited who attended 'en masse' to say good-bye to our Richard. CF41-7BY. Parking will have to be a miss and hit affair as the church is on a busy high street so it will have to be side road parking. If you are going straight to the Cemetery would you please not enter with your cars until the hearse and family cars have themselves entered the graveyard. Comments: After 30 years of knowing Richie I thought I knew him quite well, in fact he was thinking of moving in with us! Back to the story, I have had today calls from Iraq, BATUS, Germany and the UK all about one man, Richie. He was loved by so many it would take an age to list them all. In this list would sit member(s) of the Royal Family. His passing hurt but the words of so many serving and Veteran service personnel become so comforting it takes away the pain for a while. When or if you remember our kid take this with you, He loved us all. I for one will always remember my big daft adopted brother. R.I.P Richard Bevan. I have had trouble as I cannot get in contact with the above as the email address is either FALSE or is incorrectley typed. I have checked with yahoo and no email address is held by them. After several attempts we have failed. So the case will now be handed over to the authorities as we are still concerned about this brave veteran and hopefully help can be offered to him. I'm sorry if this upsets any one but there is only so much we can do. If Miriam wishes to accept our help then again she can get in contact through email and help will be on it's way until then this case has been suspended.

Thankfully I've had a quick chat with one of our sponsers and a new one is forth coming (yeah so is Christmas I hear you yell)! Branch news has yet to be done by our Veteran Admin teams (me) but HQ is dribbling along nicely A'Coy Maesteg has had another homeless veteran intern this week and is awaiting processing. B'Coy Merthyr again has had low turn outs but they are still hopefull that the media interest will be picked up and more veterans will follow. C'Coy South West Wales is again taking big drops in numbers but you can lead a horse to water etc etc. If any one has ideas to boost our veterans numbers then please let the admin team at HQ know. Next Tuesday will be CO orders and can you all be at Ty Carreg by 1930 with usual paperwork. That's about it lads it's only left for me to say thank you each and all. One thing I would ask is Please have a think about branch names. Do you really want to keep the military style or do you think thats why veterans are put off? You all know my thoughts which are the latter part of the question but it's up to you. Take care.

However we do have the area and place within 50 meters of the IP Address and will have our legal team writting to you to make sure that you are ok. MVSS would like to point out that we have many other veterans asking for our help and will be seeing those veterans within 6 weeks. Comments: re message left on guestbook (replied to twice, last reply 28/12/2014). The email address has now had 3 email requests from the admin team without reply. We will try again to make contact with the sender but this will be the final attempt via the email system and if no contact be made we suggest that the sender attend our group night in Ferndale (restarts 08/01/15 at 1900) or the Maesteg Branch, Friday mornings at 1030 and our Swansea Branch on Tuesdays at 1100 am (by appointment only). We apologies for this but we as a veterans service have become concerned for the well being of this veteran and his family. If we receive no reply there are certain steps we can take which, at the last resort, report this email to the authorities for their input and advice. Once again we ask the sender to get in contact, either to tell us not to continue this assistance or take our offer of help. Please accept with our best wishes the help you need is just around the corner! If this is another hoax we now have the right under law to pursue other ways of finding and writting to you to offer help. ADMIN BRANCH HQ.

Comments: As everyone knows I've had a very bad incident caused by an ex member of MVSS and RBL, over the past year. This was a veteran who we supported alongside him and his family. I had to make a complaint through thr RBL and the ex MVSS member was found to be wrong in all his statements of my service history. He was instructed by the RBL to give me an apology, this I recieved today, 15th May 2014. The letter of apology can be seen on request at the thursday night meetings and I will say this. ANY MORE COWARDS OUT THERE THAT WANT TO HAVE A GO AT ME MY FAMILY AND MVSS THEN I SUGGEST YOU DO IT IN PERSON BRING YOUR PROOF AND GET READY FOR A FIGHT BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT I'VE LEARNED. Pick a fight without proof and we will take you and the people you represent through the courts doesnt matter of the cost we will take the satisfaction of having your name up in lights in front of your peers in front of the public where it should be not sniping from the covers but in public. My thanks to the RBL Wales/London for all their help in this matter and my family friends and all those (and there are many) who believed me. Many thanks.

So many thanks to that person and hence the link to the Veterans Service USA. Happy days!!

You mentioned that you had a record of his service and offered me a copy, which I would be pleased to have. On another note I dont know if you are aware of these, they are a charity that appear to do very good work for PTSD sufferers, their office is in the same building as ours and we are proud to support them whenever we can, I attach a link, you may find them helpful. www.healingthewounds.co.uk

Comments: Hi. Can you tell me why you say on your website that you were the first group in the Rhondda supporting Veterans as N.V.C.C. I visited the Rhondda Veterans Support Group when you were attending. I also know you left them in 2011. You have now started your own group. So I cannot understand how you can rightly say yours is the first group in the Rhondda to offer support to Veterans. As I know myself you were not. This confuses me, can you please advise me on what is going on. There is conflicting information, and I believe that the information that I have stated is the correct version and not yours. I visit the Rhondda Group every Thursday. And have a good time and I have been informed of all the facts. I look forward to your answer
