Hi Tom. I was looking at the Skeeter History. OH-6A 800 was dumped in the Ocean. It was shot down with Capt. Shelton and WO
Day (wanted to relive his crew chief time) and I were shot down in Ship 800 and then it was dumped. That was my first Ship
and it came with 23 red Xs and that was my OJT since I was trained (as all of us were) on Hueys. 800 was an older model and
its engine was one of the best. Just an update as to what happened to our Ships. I also have a photo of a Cobra that was shot
down. You can see the 9 shots the NVA put in the canopy in about a 12" diameter. Not sure what Cobra Front Seater died that
day. |

My Father was SFC Dale M Dillow I am trying to find out info on his tour in ChuLai. 60-70 was his second of three tours in
RVN,he retired in 1980 with 24yrs service Regrettably he past away 04/01/14 and is buried in ANC sect 70
I found a copy of the '69 year book that he had.

If this was the same op. ?? Very bad day.after Staffa. Brown.we're hit.Animals were inserted..gunship shot down. Fast mover
shot down. Bressler and Gilbert went in to extract the gunshipcrew they received fire. Bressler was shot. They headed to medical.
We flew in and extracted the gunship crew. We headed to chu lai bad weather almost had midair collision.with another slick.that
was to replace us.we landed dropped the gunship crew off. Red X the chopper for main rotor hub and blade bullet holes and
tail rotor blades bullet holes.holes above ce. And doorgunners head.damage to cyclic and collective controls in hellhole.
Anyway.found out later that we lost 4??Animals. Wehad dropped them into the middle of a nva reg. Never found out. About
the fast mover. |

Was proud to be a warlord. Spent 40 years as a field surveyor, a little bit like an animal, got shot at, dodged traffic on
I 95, the Pa turnpike, had a building collapse on me, carried 40 -60 pounds of equipment up and down hills every day, hacked
through brier patches with a machete, but those guy's will always have my respect and nothing I have ever done in my life
could ever equel what they did.I would also like to thank the pilots who brought me a bottle of Jim Beam @ midnight when I
was still working on their cobras. |

I was with Blane Gough (Charlie Brown) on the 198 Brigade's sniper team. when the 198th stood down Charlie Brown went to the
Warlords as a LOCH door gunner. I went to the Special Services beach as a Lifeguard after a month or so I couldn't take the
bordem so I went over to the Warlords also. When my new squad leader (Pete Mooring) meet me he said "you're a big guy you
can carry the M-60" (I was 6'2" and 175lbs.)Pete walked point and I walked 3 steps behind him with the M-60. The guys I worked
with in the Warlords are to this day the best bunch of guys that I have ever been with.When I was with the Warlords we were
in Chu Lai. |

My Godfather was Ralph Burchfield. I am sorry to say that he did pass away on January 20th, 2015. He was found on his front
porch about to go for a bike ride. I am so fortunate to have had my dad, John T. Christine, choose Ralph to be my God Father.
He watched over and protected me and my boys from the day I was born. Military honors will be done at the Barrancas National
Cemetary on March 27th. (time is still pending) After I will have his home open for a few hours so that friends and family
may come by to pay their respects. It was an honor to have had Ralph in my life. I am blessed. I will post again his memorial
information as soon as finalized. Please email me if you have any questions or pictures of Ralph. GOD BLESS!!! |

My father CW4 Buck Allen was in the 123rd as a pilot. I have pictures of an OH-6A tail #67-16176 that I believe he was shot
down in but don't have much more information. "Kid" is on the nose. Daddy passed away Friday, June 27th. If anyone has any
