Comments: Dear Terry, Silvia from Sena, the Netherlands, here - nice to virtually ‘meet’ you! Hopefully you’re doing fine this lovely day. After a small search on the internet for contact details of TERRY DAY, I’ve found your details online. The reason I am contacting you because of the hit single VILLAGE MARKET. This track has been played a lot on Dutch radio & television, and we have some (well deserved) money we would like to pay to the artist. I couldn't find any registration in the IPD: any chance you could let me know who your collecting society is? It would be great to hear back from you, so we pay your money in the next quarter, which will be December 2017. In case you don’t have a collecting society yet, you are more than welcome to register directly here at Sena. If you would like to have more information, please check our website or let me know in reply to this e-mail. Looking forward to hear back from you, thanks so much in advance! Kind regards, Silvia Biemans Account manager relations

Comments: Hi Terry. Came across your website and realised I last saw you in Jan 1962 or thereabouts when we were off to see a concert in London. Before that we were at Kennylands and I well remember you introducing me to Miles Davis LP milestones, which I always asked to hear when I came to your house. Remember your brother Pat who was always very kind to me. Time permitting I hope you can get back in touch. Best wishes Bob Shimmon

Comments: A Barking boy, we did larger and larger life drawings, we were the best in our year. I have recently read Ian's book and it reminded me of that last party at your house before you went on to South West and I went into the Ad world although I ended up head of an Art School. It would be good to catch up before we are to old. Bern

Comments: Dear Terry Day, The William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow is planning a major exhibition in Summer 2017 exploring the history and legacy of Walthamstow School of Art in the 1950s and 60s. The School cultivated some of the most influential creative talent of the era, leading names in art, fashion, music and film studied and taught here – Peter Blake, filmmakers Ken Russell and Peter Greenaway, fashion designers Celia Birtwell, Marion Foale and Sally Tuffin, and of course musicians like yourself and Ian Dury. I am currently still in the research phase and contacting former staff and pupils who were there at this time and I was very much hoping to speak to you about your experience as a pupil there. Hope to hear from you. Yours sincerely Rowan Bain Curator, William Morris Gallery 0208 946 1469

Comments: Hi Terry, enjoyed reading you history,as I grew up in Plaistow, and spent many a good night at "Birdland" Denglow Studios Chadwell Heath. It was run by the corpulant Frank Dennis and his wife Gladys. It was mid-fifties and we saw Britain`s finest there, for about five bob as I remember. Those you mentioned plus Tommy Whittle,Ronnie Ross,Tubby Hayes, the great Joe Harriot,Harry South,Shake Kean,Jimmy Skidmore, and a host of others. Not to forget the local boys, Len Livesey, and Al Mead come to mind as do Curly Holliday and Ralph Strelitz. There was at one time a jazz club at "The Pigeons Hotel" Stratford called "Club 15" It`s great to revive those old memories, keep well, keep going Best Wishes..........John
